Who we are

We are a family-run double glazing & aluminium company based in the heart of Lincoln, with more than 40 years combined experience.

We were sick of the bad reputation the double glazing industry had – ripping people off, pushy sales and cowboy builder-type firms. We set up DS Windows & Doors to change that, and judging from our 200+ 5-star customer reviews, we are doing just that..

I’ve been fitting windows & doors in and around Lincoln since I was just 18 years old – some 22 years ago now! 

After working for a number of different companies in Lincoln I saw there was an opportunity to provide a different service.

Pushy salesmen and shoddy cowboy builder type firms give home improvement companies a bad name – which is what I set out to change when I set up DS Windows & Doors almost 10 years ago.

My experienced installers take pride in every job – no matter how big or small – and love nothing more than seeing the look on my customer’s face when they’re delighted with their new windows and doors. 

My promise to my customers is this:

  1. I will never pressure you into making a decision – I understand that replacing your windows & doors is a big decision, so I’ll never be that pushy salesman
  2. I’ll give you open & honest advice – I won’t encourage you towards the most expensive option, I’ll advise you based on what I think will suit your property & your budget
  3. My team and I will take care of your home as if it were our own – that means spending time laying down dustsheets, hoovering up after the job is done and spending time cleaning your new windows for you so you get the real ‘wow’ factor

Thank you to DS windows and doors. We had all of our windows done and 2 doors and french doors.

We saw Darren in the showroom who helped us with our so many questions as we had never bought windows and doors before.

Donna in the office also so helpful and happy to answer many questions! They were able to fit installation around our schedule.

Matt and Rob the fitters were just so friendly and efficient - they were really tidy and took real care when working. They also answered any questions we had during the process. The windows and doors look amazing and they were installed so quickly!

    Excellent communication, all visits were on time. Instalation day the team was on time and worked very efficiently despite a bitterly cold day, all was completed (4 windows in one day) and the finish/quality of Instalation was excellent.
    All cleaned up and explained the functioning of the windows (locks/ventilation etc)
    Entirely satisfied would definitely recommend DS Windows.

    We decided on laminated doors for improved installation.visited Ds windows & Doors show room and selected a front and back door with fittings installation date was set Jan 27 the first storm of 2026 Ds fitters arrived on time okay to fit the doors ? With that they proceeded with the fitting in the rain they completed approx 3 pm and that’s when it stopped raining and they a

    So nice to have some old school style customer service from start to finish. From getting a quote to lots of emails back and forth the service was 10/10.
    Regular updates and options given making the whole experience so easy and professional.

    Come installation day, emails few days before highlighting the order of the day. Matt arrived on time and is such a lovely and hard working individual. Regular check ins from Matt throughout the day to make sure I was happy.

    Once All complete, all cleaned down, rubbish taken away and porch brushed down followed by an explanation about the locks, key box the cleaning of the door. Even down to a little pot of touch up paint should I incur any scratches over time.

    Finished job so good it makes the windows look tired so already booked in for a quote to replace 😂.

    I would highly recommend DS Windows and Doors, they are a small local business, very competitive on price but customer service is first class.

    DS Windows and Doors exceeded all expectations. I spent quite a while searching for a company I felt I could trust. Their other reviews were really good so I decided to give them a call. I spoke to a lovely lady called Donna, she answered all my questions and was so bubbly and set my mind at ease to give them a try. Darren came to give a quote. He was very helpful and had lots of good suggestions for windows we may not of thought of. We found the cost resonable and went ahead with the order.
    I was apprehensive, expecting there to be quite a bit of mess, but need not of worried. Two lovely guys Matt and Rob came to do the installation and they were brilliant. Their work was so neat and tidy, no mess apart from a bit of dust. Could not of asked for nicer people, or a better job. Really thrilled with everything. I totally recommend this company.

    From start to finish this was a great company to work with. We got a quote for a new composite door very quickly and the ordering process was easy. Our door was fitted today and it’s just what we wanted. All staff have been really friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.
